Learn from industry leaders in business communication, political speech development, and community engaged non-profit communication and participate in networking events with TU alumni living and working in the San Francisco area. The program will culminate with student speeches on the topics of business, politics, and the non-profit industry.
Program highlights include a service-learning activity, a cable car ride to Lombard Street, viewing the Golden Gate Bridge from Baker Beach, visiting the Golden Gate Park and Japanese Tea Garden, seeing the sea lions at Pier 39, and excursions to Alcatraz and the Mission District.
Participants will take COMM 131 Public Speaking (3 credits, Core 5) with Professor Carol Norton.
