New Meal & Mileage Reimbursement Rates

The University System of Maryland has approved new meal and mileage reimbursement rates to reflect increased costs. The following rates went into effect July 1, 2022:

  • The mileage reimbursement rate is now 62.5 cents per mile, an increase from the previous rate of 58.5 cents per mile. The change is reflected in Stratus and will be ready for go live on July 11.  However, if you have mileage that has crossed fiscal years, please contact the Business Travel Office at 410-704-5421 or travel@towson.edu prior to submitting for reimbursement.
  • The daily meal reimbursement rate is now $63.00.  The meal breakdown is below.
Meal Standard High-Cost
Breakfast $15 $15
Lunch $18 $20
Dinner $30 $33
Total $63 $68
