TU Community Development and Non-Profit Management in The Gambia
Experience West Africa with Towson University in Minimester 2023. Buckle your seatbelt and get ready for some transformative learning! Gain a global perspective on the intersections of community development and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in The Gambia. Engage with local community members and organizations by participating in NGO projects and initiatives and learn first hand about community organization and advocacy.
Students will work on group projects with non-profit organizations and participate in excursions to James Island and the Crocodile and Monkey Park at Kachikally.
Participants will take POSC 474 Community Development and Non-Profit Management in The Gambia (3 credits) with Dr. Aminata Sillah and Dr. Donn Worgs.
