Gilman International Scholarship Program
The U.S. Department of State’s Gilman International Scholarship Program provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students who receive a Federal Pell Grant to study or intern abroad for academic credit. The program’s goal is to broaden the student population that studies abroad and interns abroad by supporting undergraduates who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints and encourages study of languages in diverse countries and world regions. Gilman offers scholarships of up to $5,000 with supplemental awards of up to $3,000 available for applicants who are studying a critical need language.
