Environmental Education and Service Learning in the Tropics
Join TU Biology Professor Sarah Haines to learn about her summer study abroad program to Costa Rica today, Monday, November 29 from 3-4 pm in Psychology Bldg 407.
Professor Haines will explain how students will work side-by-side with local community members to complete environmental action projects. Other program highlights include excursions to Arenal Valcano National Park, the Totuguero National Park, and the Monte Verde Cloud Forest.
Participants will earn BIOL 382/582 or ENVS 382/582. ELED and EESE majors can substitute for BIOL 303 Life Sciences. Students may fulfill units toward their Latin American Studies elective requirements in consultation with the Latin American Studies program director prior to departure.
