Inclement Weather Procedures – TU Shuttles and Parking Garages

As we enter the winter season, Parking & Transportation Services would like to remind the campus community about the inclement weather procedures. When TU closes due to inclement weather, on and off campus shuttles will not be in operation. If TU remains open and road conditions become too dangerous, shuttle services may be discontinued. Alerts and real-time tracking information can be found on the TU Ride App and on TUTigerRide.com.

When TU Closes Early:

• On and off campus shuttles will remain in operation for one hour after the scheduled closure, provided that road conditions are not too hazardous.

When TU Opens Late:

• On and off campus shuttles will begin operation one hour before the scheduled opening, provided that road conditions are not too hazardous.

Parking Garages and Inclement Weather:

• Vehicles parked on the roof level of all garages on campus must be moved to lower levels to allow for efficient snow/ice removal by Facilities Management.
• Efforts will be made to notify drivers through email to move their vehicles. Signage will be posted in garages notifying drivers when certain areas will be closed
• Vehicles left on garage roof levels after the indicated date/time are subject to citation and towing at the owner’s expense.
