Before the holidays: Don’t get locked out! Confirm you’ve set up security recovery info for your NetID

Make sure you’ve set up your recovery info before the holiday break. If for some reason you need to use your NetID to access TU services while the university is closed, avoid lockout by confirming that you can get a one-time passcode or access your security questions to reset it yourself.

  • If you haven’t set up security questions or added recovery contact info yet: follow these steps or watch this how-to video.
  • If you’ve already set up your questions and recovery info, confirm it: log into your account through towson.edu/netid, click the “Security Questions” tab (you might need to expand the “hamburger menu” to see this tab), click the “Show Answers” button to see your info in the text fields.

If you have questions about using the new NetID Management system before the break, contact the OTS Faculty/Staff Help Center or Student Computing Services. During the university’s holiday closures, the OTS Help Centers support will be limited to addressing major outages as needed. Staff will be available to reset passwords when TU reopens after the break.
