Thanksgiving Holidays – Contingent II Non-Exempt Staff

Towson University is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday, November 24, 2021, through Friday, November 26, 2021.

Staff in departments which observe non-traditional work hours and schedules, or which perform essential functions, should discuss coverage with their supervisors.

Below is a guide to use for the Thanksgiving holiday. You must be in an active, paid status to earn any of the holidays below. If you perform work on a particular day, record the leave code REG and the hours for the day.  If you use other leave during this time, record it on the time sheet.

Holiday hours will be pre-populated on the timesheet. If an employee does not normally work on a day in which a holiday falls, the employee will need to remove the hours from that day and leave the day blank.

Holiday hours are pro-rated based on an employee’s FTE.

**For 11/24/21: Accrued annual leave may be used on this date. If the employee does not have accrued annual leave, this day should be left blank. If leave is not available to cover this day, the time will be unpaid.
