Title: Managing Stress During Difficult Times
Facilitator: Rebecca Cossaboom, Towson University Counseling Center
Description: This presentation explains how learning challenges can impact positive self-esteem, stress, and anxiety for students. In addition, this presentation explains the difference between stress and anxiety as well as some common reasons why students who learn and think differently may experience more stress and anxiety than their peers. Lastly, this presentation provides an example of a helpful cognitive therapy technique that students can use to help them successfully complete future challenging academic tasks with more confidence.
