Non-Rhetorical Instructor Questioning: When, Why, and How (In-person)
Monday, November 1, 2021 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m
Location: CK 404B
Instructors frequently pose rhetorical questions, but it’s the questions that elicit student responses that tend to be the most interesting and motivating. This interactive session focuses on different goals of instructor questioning; convergent vs. divergent questions; productive ways of responding to student answers; wait time; and the varied contexts for questioning. Lunch will be provided to registered attendees.
