Temporary Parking Closures – Fall Move-In 2021 is Here!
It’s time to move in Tigers! Parking & Transportation Services and the entire TU community welcomes our resident students back to campus. Fall Move-In will take place from Wednesday, August 25 through Sunday, August 29. Here’s what you need to know about upcoming lot closures. Please plan accordingly.
Union Garage

Monday, August 23 the ground level parking closest to Osler Dr., in the Union Garage will close at 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, August 24 vehicles with move-in permits for Glen Tower A will be able to drive through this area to access Tower A. Spaces on the right side will be unavailable for parking.

Wednesday, August 25 the ground level parking closest to Burdick field in the Union Garage will be two-way traffic. Please use caution.

End of day Friday, August 27 all entrances and exits will be open and available for normal use.
West Village

The 3rd level of West Village Garage will remain open, with access to Visitor and Overflow parking spaces.

From 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on August 25 through 29, students will have access to the walkway to unload.

Lot 1 (between Millennium Hall and Enrollment Services) will close on Monday, August 23 at 5:30 p.m. and remain closed through the evening of 6 p.m. Sunday, August 29. Other Faculty/Staff parking is available in the West Village Garage and Union Garage. Those with mobility issues may request a ride through Paratransit at 410-704-RIDE.

Millennium Hall lots will not be used for TU Fall Move-In. As a reminder, Millennium Hall parking is restricted to those with a Millennium Hall permit.
Lot 14/Residence Tower & Lot 15/10 West

August 24 TUPD will close Lot 14 (near the Health & Counseling Center) in the early evening.

August 25, 26, & 27 Cross Campus Drive will be designated for one-way traffic East (York Road) to West (Osler Road) from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.

10 West residents will have access to the building garage, Lot 15, to unload only, Wednesday, August 25 from 6 a.m., through Sunday, August 29 at 5 p.m. Prior to this time, 10 West residents may park in the Towsontown Garage Core spaces on the upper levels.

During Fall Move-In, designated “Move-In” spaces will be located near each residence hall from August 13 to August 25.

Vehicles may only be parked in “Move-In” spaces for a maximum of 20 minutes. A permit is not required while parked in a “Move-In” space. However, once vehicles are unloaded, you will need to move your vehicle to a legal Core, Overflow, or Resident space.

At no time is any vehicle permitted to be parked in fire lanes, in a roadway, on sidewalks, on grass, or an otherwise reserved space (even for a few minutes).

Only vehicles displaying a state-issued accessible (handicapped) license plate/placard may be parked in an accessible space. If on campus after August 2, vehicles must have both the accessible license plate/placard and a valid TU parking permit to park in accessible spaces.

The walkway at West Village, near Lot 1, will be open daily to vehicles for unloading, from Wednesday, August 25 through Sunday, August 29 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no access to the West Village housing through Millennium Hall. Please follow the directions of posted signs and on-duty staff members. Outside of these times, vehicles must be parked in a legal space or temporarily use a “Move In” space.

The Gold route shuttle will be available starting Wednesday, August 25, from 4 p.m. to midnight. SafeRide, 410-704-RIDE, will be available from midnight to 7 a.m.

Regular shuttle service will resume on Saturday, August 28.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required to ride the shuttles.
