Study Away in New York
The Summer 2022 New York Theatre Experience study away program allows students to explore New York theater from historical, textual, and cultural perspectives. Through museums visits and tours, experience events that have become a part of the fabric of NYC and the theatre that has evolved as a result. Led by TU Theater Arts Professor Donna Fox, the program features musical, Broadway, Off Broadway, and experiential performances in a range of theatre spaces. Additional highlights include a Theater District Tour, an excursion to the Costume Collection at the Fashion Institute of Technology, visits to the Tenement Museum and 9/11 Memorial, and a Ghost Tour. Students will take one of the following courses for a total of three academic credits:
- THEA 103 Introduction to American Theatre (3 credits; Core 11)
- THEA 488 Theatre Visitation and Analysis (3 credits)
