TUSS SERVICE PROJECT:

We will continue to help our Students, Staff and Faculty by donating to the FoodShare Program/Pantry on campus.( https://www.towson.edu/studentlife/housing/dining/food-insecurity-foodshare-programs.html )

Since we are still virtual and don’t come to campus often for some, here are some ways to donate:

To donate “virtually,” the FoodShare has an online registry at Target:

  1. Click on the registry link: tgt.gifts/tufoodshare
  2. Select “Pick up today”
  3. Make selections of items to donate
  4. In cart – choose “Order Pick-up” and ensure store listed is TOWSON for each item (this will remove the Delivery Fee)
  5. Click “I’m ready to check out”
  6. During payment List “Luke Birdsong” as the person responsible for pick-up. His email is lbirdsong@towson.edu
  7. Make payment

Items needed the most: canned fruit canned chicken and tuna, Rice, granola bars, cereal, oatmeal, and snacks, any non-perishables that anyone would be able to donate are great too! Personal Hygiene items are always in need: feminine products, soap, deodorant and paper goods

If anyone would like to donate items in-person, they may do so at the front desk of Ward & West/the Heath and Counseling Center or during the FoodShare’s open hours. There is a clear plastic bin labeled “FoodShare Donations” next to the front desk in Ward & West. Anytime the building is open, people may go in and drop off donations into that bin. Additionally, on every Thursday, through the end of the semester, the FoodShare will be open from 3 – 6 PM. The FoodShare’s entrance is located at the back of Ward & West, directly across from Residence Tower. It has its own external entrance (a gray door with a FoodShare logo pasted onto it). You may drop off donations here from 3 – 6 PM on Thursday’s during the semester as well

If you have any questions, please contact Judy Rixham, jrixham@towson.edu
