“All natural or super-natural? Analysis of current state of marijuana advertising.”

Ever since medical and non-medical marijuana became legal in parts of the US in 2012, the legal landscape of this field has been under reformation and varies by state (Bierut et al., 2018; D’Amico et al., 2018). As the marijuana industry has become one of the fastest growing industries in the US with more states legalizing sales, advertising has burgeoned (Krauss et al., 2017). This study looks into marijuana brands’ website to gauge the current state of marijuana advertising emphasizing fair balance and advertising appeal.
