Extended downtime for OTS’ weekend maintenance window
The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is performing a scheduled shutdown of the University Union data center on Friday, Feb. 26 from 6 p.m. until midnight. This is a part of a planned required power outage for the Union expansion project.
These services will be offline during the maintenance:
- PeopleSoft Non-production Environments
- RMS (Housing)
These services will NOT be offline during the maintenance:
- Virtual Workspace (VW)
- ImageNow
- Email and Office 365
- Phones and voicemail
- Blackboard
- Timesheets
- PeopleSoft/Towson Online Services/Campus Solutions
- PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
- PeopleSoft Financials
- MyTU Faculty/Staff Portal
- MyTU Mobile
- Public Safety TUPD applications
Due to the nature of the work, other departmental applications could be unavailable, experience intermittent connectivity issues, and/or provide slower-than-normal performance during the maintenance window. When maintenance is complete, a post will be made to the OTS Alerts website, http://alerts.towson.edu and twitter @OTSAlerts.
As a reminder, the Office of Technology Services’ maintenance windows are Sundays from 6 a.m. until noon and Fridays from 6 p.m. until midnight. Please keep this timing in mind when planning events, assignments, and deadlines. If you have questions about the outage, please contact the OTS Faculty/Staff Help Center at 410-704-5151.
