Administrative Leave information for Thursday, February 18, 2021
Employees who were not already on leave, or were not scheduled to take leave during this period, record administrative leave on their time sheet. The administrative leave corresponds with the actual hours they would have been scheduled to work if not for the emergency closing.
Administrative Leave information for Friday, February 19, 2021
Employees who were not already on leave, or were not scheduled to take leave during this period, may record administrative leave on their time sheet ONLY if they are/were unable to telework either fully or partially. Those whose positions permit telework should perform duties remotely during closure of the physical campus.
Supervisors and time approvers may permit administrative leave to be charged in individual cases upon confirmation that some or all duties were unable to be performed remotely on February 19. Employees should consult with their supervisor for questions regarding work assignments.
**Administrative leave should not be utilized for those already teleworking and/or those with the ability to telework for the February 19th closure**
Emergency essential personnel includes ONLY those who are designated essential for inclement weather closures/emergencies. This does NOT include individuals who have been determined to be regularly reporting to campus for daily Quick Scan and other COVID-related tracking/monitoring purposes.
The applicable leave codes are:
ADMU – Regular Faculty & Staff, Librarians
ADMCE – Contingent II Exempt Staff
ADMCU – Contingent II Non-Exempt Staff
Contingent I – record normal work hours on the time sheet and note the administrative leave hours in the remarks section.
Lecturers – record 8 hours of REG pay for the day and note the administrative leave hours in the remarks section.
Non-exempt emergency essential personnel, who were required to work during the closure, are paid for the hours worked and receive straight time administrative leave for scheduled work hours. Use leave code ADMEW for the administrative leave hours.
Employees who were not scheduled to work, were scheduled to take leave, or were already on leave, may not use administrative leave. Unless scheduled otherwise, employees who leave work before the University officially closes must use their own accrued leave for those times.
