The minimum wage for Maryland workers will increase to $11.75 per hour starting January 1, 2021. The minimum wage applies to all USM employees, including student employees and general assistants.

HR and Payroll will process any required increases for staff effective January 1, 2021. Required increases for student workers will be processed effective for the pay period that begins January 2, which is the beginning of the pay period that ends January 15, 2021.
