Learn More about Migration at These 2 Upcoming Events

Toe Tags from the Hostile Terrain 94 ExhibitTowson University is hostingĀ Hostile Terrain 94, a participatory art exhibition sponsored and organized by theĀ Undocumented Migration Project. This exhibit consists of over 3,000 toe tags that document individual migrants who perished crossing the Mexican/U.S. border.

Cook Library is hosting 2 upcoming virtual events in preparation for this exhibition.

 

Why Migration Matters: A Hostile Terrain 94 Panel Discussion

Please join Cook Library and TU faculty, students and staff for a discussion of the exhibit Hostile Terrain 94. Hostile Terrain 94 is an interactive exhibit that brings issues around immigration, U.S. policy and the lives of migrants into conversation and dialogue. This visceral exhibit is not live yet due to the pandemic so a variety of programming has been created to bring these conversations and programming into a virtual environment.

Hostile Terrain 94: Virtual Toe Tag Filling Event

At this event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about and reflect on undocumented migration before filling out some of the toe tags that will be in the exhibition and document individual migrants’ deaths.
