OHR announces an internal employee job matching initiative

Given the current hiring freeze, we recognize that there are duties and responsibilities that need to be performed even though we are not able to fill most open positions. We also recognize that there are some positions/staff that may temporarily have additional capacity to help in other roles in the current environment.

Effective September 28, 2020, the OHR Talent Acquisition Team launched the internal employee Temporary Reassignment Program to help departments across the campus who may be in need of temporary resources during our current hiring freeze.  This process will allow vacant positions to be fully or partially filled on a temporary basis by internal staff who currently have availability to perform duties in other areas.   We also see this as a great opportunity to keep our staff engaged and provide professional development.  This initiative will provide staff the opportunity to renew some skills, develop new skills and gain additional work experience while learning more about various departments across our campus.

The OHR Talent Acquisition (TA) team will reach out to all supervisors for recommendations.
