Parking Permit Purchase Information 2020/2021

Parking permit sales for the 2020/2021 academic year will begin Monday, July 27, 2020 at 9 a.m.  Please be aware there will be modification to permit sales related to COVID & Return to TU planning.  Please ensure you carefully read all information and monitor TU Today for updates and changes related to parking permit sales.

All permits MUST be purchased online through eParking. No annual permits will be sold for the coming academic year.  Only fall & spring permits will be available.  To accommodate the earlier start of the fall term, fall permits will be valid as of Aug. 1, 2020. Permits will continue to be available for purchase throughout the academic year.  Anyone wishing to park on campus for the spring will need to purchase a spring term permit prior to the start of spring classes.

In consideration of those who will be working and/or learning remotely, we have added the option of purchasing a daily permit for your assigned area – Faculty/Staff, Core or Overflow.  These permits will be at the daily visitor rate ($12) and may be purchased by logging into the eParking portal and selecting Daily Permit.  Daily permits may be purchased for the same day or a future date.  As with all permits, your license plate will be used to verify you have a current permit.  Those wishing to use visitor parking spaces, may purchase a visitor permit through ParkMobile or at a pay station.

STUDENTS:

  • Commuter students with less than 30 units earned may only purchase an “Overflow” permit.
  • Commuters with more than 30 credits are eligible to purchase a “Core” permit.
  • Resident students who have less than 30 units earned are not eligible to purchase a parking permit or have a vehicle on campus unless an Exception Request has been granted. Exceptions for the 2020/2021 academic year will be accepted as of July 13, 2020.
  • Resident students with more than 30 credits may purchase a Resident Permit.

FACULTY/STAFF:

  • If you are currently using payroll deduction to pay for your permit, you MUST go online to purchase your fall permit and re-enroll in the payment plan for the 2020/2021 academic year. A separate notification will provide additional information about changes and parking options.
  • If you would like to enroll in payroll deduction and are eligible, purchase your permit online and select “payroll deduction” as the payment method. Please ensure you complete the Faculty/Staff Parking Permit Payment Plan Enrollment form, which is now online through the Auxiliary Service Business Office website.
  • Installment payment plans will have 2 consecutive monthly payments for each term. The last date to use installment payments for the fall will be Oct. 16, 2020.

Details about pricing permit eligibility and available payment options will be posted on the PTS website (towson.edu/parking).

Please carefully read the Permit Purchase email that you receive after your purchase—it has important information regarding where your permit is valid and other details specific to your permit type.
