Zoom is now available
Zoom accounts are now available to students, faculty and staff. Zoom is a cloud-based video communications app that allows you to set up virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live chats, screen-sharing, and other collaborative capabilities. TU’s other current secure and convenient meeting options (Webex Meetings, Webex Teams, Panopto, and Blackboard Collaborate) are still available.
What you need to know
- If you already have a Zoom account using a TU email address, you can activate a new university account upon your next Zoom login. You should be prompted to be added to TU’s account (consolidate), or change the email address to tie the account to a personal email. You might also receive an email in your TU account asking you to allow Towson Zoom Support to add you to the TU Zoom account. Be sure to follow the steps in that email so we can activate your TU enterprise account. Either of these options will start the process of activating your TU account.
- If you don’t have a Zoom account, you can activate one at towson.edu/zoom.
Visit towson.edu/zoom for more information or contact the OTS Faculty/Staff Help Center at 410-704-5151.
