Zoom is coming to TU

Zoom accounts will be available to all TU faculty and staff later this week. Please stay tuned to TU Today for more information. 

Zoom is a cloud-based video communications service that allows you to set up virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live chats, screen-sharing, and other collaborative capabilities. TU’s other current secure and convenient meeting options (Webex Meetings, Webex Teams, Panopto, and Blackboard Collaborate) are still available. 

While we work to get this new service ready for the campus, the Office of Technology Services is asking faculty and staff to refrain from creating a public zoom account using a TU email address as this may delay the provisioning of your TU Enterprise Zoom account. 

If you’ve activated a Zoom account using your TU email address, you will get an automated email from Zoom asking to allow “Towson Zoom Support” to add you to the Towson University account. Please confirm and follow the steps in the email.
