Dependent Care Accounts Due to COVID-19 Related Events

All participants in a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) should have received an email with information on requesting changes to your payroll deductions due to changes in dependent care costs as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Faculty and staff who have a new need for dependent care are also eligible to elect a DCFSA. Request for any changes must be submitted through Workday using event: Employee: Change in Dependent Daycare. A Quick Reference Guide is available to assist you in initiating this life event.

An event must be initiated no later than the end of the day on Thursday April 23, 2020. The event will be reviewed and presuming it meets IRS requirements, it will then be approved by the state Employee Benefits Division.
