Come to Interrupted Motherhood in Two Weeks!
Please join us for ‘Interrupted Motherhood’ a one-woman show featuring playwright and actor Felicia Chappelle on Wednesday, March 25th, 7pm, at the Studio Theatre, Center for the Arts 3060.
This story is for women who have parented alone, lost parents, survived food scarcity, battled addiction and struggled with mental health. Chappelle states, “Generations of my People have been visited by the trauma of displacement and dehumanizing objectification.” The work she intends to take on is to remain in process as an accompaniment to her commitment to growth, self-discovery and reversing the ill effects oppression has had on the psyche of Black Personhood in the USA.
This powerful autobiographical work cannot be missed! All are welcome. The performance will be followed by an audience talk back.
Co-sponsored by the Center for Student Diversity, COFAC CoLab and the Department of Theatre Arts.
