FAQs – November 27 Administrative Leave Day
Please see FAQs below regarding the President’s designated administrative leave day on November 27.
Q. Who is eligible for the administrative leave day?
A. All regular and contingent faculty and staff who were regularly scheduled to work on November 27 are eligible for the administrative leave day.
Q. I am essential personnel and must report to work on November 27. May I use the administrative
leave day on another day?
A. No. Non-exempt essential personnel who must work on November 27 will earn an additional eight hours of pay at straight time, in lieu of using an administrative leave day.
Q. May I save this day and use it another time?
A. No. The administrative leave day must be used on November 27, 2019.
Q. If I am not required to work on November 27, how do I code my time sheet to reflect the administrative leave day?

- ADMU leave code/8 hours leave- Regular Faculty & Staff, Librarians
- ADMCE leave code/8 hours leave- Contingent II Exempt Staff
- ADMCU leave code/8 hours leave- Contingent II Non-Exempt Staff
- Contingent I Staff – record normal work hours on the time sheet and note the administrative leave hours in the remarks section.
- Lecturers – record D for any time worked and note the administrative leave hours in the remarks section.
Q. If I am required to work on November 27, how do I code my time sheet?
- Regular Non-exempt Essential Personnel- paid for hours worked & receive straight time Administrative Leave for scheduled work hours. Leave code ADMEW should be recorded on the time sheet, in the leave code section, for the Administrative Leave.
- Regular Exempt Essential Personnel – Record D for duty day.
Q. When is my time sheet due?
A. Regular faculty & staff – the time sheets for the November 20 through December 3 pay period are due on December 3.
Contingent faculty and staff – the time sheets for the November 23 through December 6 pay period are due on December 6.
