New EV Charging Stations Anticipated for Spring 2020
Good news for the TU campus community! In fact, it’s really great news. New EV charging stations are coming to TU for the spring 2020 term. The existing EV chargers are reaching the end of their life span and are in the process of being phased out. Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) is aware that some of the current charging stations are not in service due to equipment issues related to parts that are no longer available for replacement. Your patience is greatly appreciated as the anticipated transition of the new units is on the horizon.
Similar to the current units, the new EV charging stations will continue to allow TU students, faculty, staff and visitors with electric or hybrid vehicles to charge at no cost. Please remember that your vehicle must still be plugged in and have a valid TU parking permit while parked at charging stations.
Watch for more information coming in January 2020. For additional information about TU’s green programs and initiatives, visit the Alternative Transportation page on the PTS website at: www.towson.edu/parking or call 410-704-PARK.
