Call for LGBTQ+ Faculty Presenter
The Center for Student Diversity’s LGBTQ+ Student Development program is launching a new lunch ‘n learn lecture series this fall focused on the intersections of LGBTQ+ identities, issues, and experiences.
We are looking for TU faculty and graduate students to present on compelling and innovative scholarly research related to LGBTQ+ identities and issues. The series will highlight the importance of faculty research in these areas, and will generate more visibility for LGBTQ+ focused scholarly work being done on campus. This series will provide an opportunity for faculty from various disciplines to connect and network with students from all majors.
Faculty and graduate students interested in presenting at Full Spectrum should complete the proposal form using this link: https://tinyurl.com/TUFullSpectrum Each proposal will be reviewed individually by staff in the LGBTQ+ Student Development program. If your presentation proposal is selected, we will contact you via e-mail. Please note that there are three event dates for fall, and we will have three additional event dates scheduled for Spring 2020.
Deadlines for proposal submissions are by 5:00pm on the following dates:
- Deadline for 09/16 presentation: 09/09
- Deadline for 10/10 presentation: 09/27
- Deadline for 11/06 presentation: 10/25
The lecture will take place from 12-1:15pm. Following the hour lecture block, presenters and attendees are encouraged to network, discuss their research endeavors, and help guide student attendees on how to get prepared and involved with doing research projects of their own as undergraduate or graduate students. The series will be open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy; CSD will provide light snacks and drinks. All lecture series will be hosted in the Center for Student Diversity, Unity Lounge (UU313).
