Reading Clinic Now Accepting Applications for the Fall

TU’s Reading Clinic in Hawkins Hall helps families and participants of any age to develop literacy skills. Help is available for anyone who has a learning difference, who is lagging behind peers, who is reluctant to read, or who simply wants to improve reading confidence.

Clinic team members are experienced classroom teachers in the final stages of the graduate reading education program who share a passion for literacy instruction. All participants receive:

  • Success-oriented, research-based motivational techniques
  • One-hour sessions of one-on-one evaluation and tutoring
  • Home activities and family workshops to reinforce learning in fun, engaging ways
  • Access to a lending library of books and magazines
  • Opportunities to discuss concerns with educational professionals and other families

A fee of $100.00 (due at the first session) covers at least 10 sessions.

To apply or to learn more, visit the site or email ReadingClinic@towson.edu.
