Scholarship available for TU students with children- Apply by August 7th!
The Pathways Scholarship application is now available online. This scholarship provides financial assistance for low-income parents who have completed a community college degree and are finishing a first undergraduate degree. It is a two-year program, provided that students continue to meet program requirements. Full-time students may receive up to $2,000 for two years, for a total award of $4,000. Part-time students receive half this amount.

Eligibility Requirements:
In order to apply for this scholarship, students must:
- Be a parent of at least one child under the age of 18
- Demonstrate a high level of unmet financial need. Only students who are Pell grant eligible will be considered
- Have completed an AA degree
- Cumulative TU GPA of 2.5
Program Requirements:
- Students must continue to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in their application including a minimum TU GPA of 2.5 and at least part-time enrollment (6 credits).
- Should a student’s enrollment status change (i.e. dropping courses), their award will be altered to reflect these changes. Students who withdraw will have their award canceled.
- Students will meet with the Program Director, Ms. Mahnoor Ahmed, at least once each semester in order to discuss whether they are meeting program goals.
- Attend the Newcombe/Pathways Family Day on Saturday, September 14th from 12-2pm
- Attend the Mature Students Lunch & Peer Support Group at least once a semester or, if school or work conflicts with the time of the meetings, attend two other campus events pre-approved by the program director
- Attend at least 1 professional development event approved by the Program Director. In addition, seniors are required to conduct at least 1 meeting with an assigned mentor in their field.
