Spring Move-out Days

Congratulations tigers! The spring 2019 term is coming to a close. Be advised, there will be increased pedestrian traffic near and around the residence halls as students move out.  Please abide by the guidelines below for a successful spring move-out:

  • Designated “move-out” spaces will be located near each residence hall beginning Monday, May 13, 2019.  Other than the dates and locations indicated below, vehicles must park in a designated “move-out” space or other legal space.
  • Vehicles may only be parked in “move-out” spaces for a maximum of 30 minutes.  A permit is not required while parked in a “move-out” space.  However, once vehicles are loaded, they must be moved to a legal core, overflow, or resident space based on the individual’s permit type.
  • From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., beginning Friday, May 17 through Monday, May 20 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, residents will be allowed access to the West Village walkway and Glen Towers’ access road to load their belongings.
  • Residents must bring belongings to the loading area prior to moving their car to the loading area and follow the directions of posted signage and stationed staff. Vehicles may only be on the walkway or Glen access road for 15 minutes to load.
  • In order to maintain a safe environment, residents must be parked in a legal space. Do not park in fire lanes, in a roadway, on a sidewalk, on grass, or an otherwise reserved space, even for a few minutes.
  • As a reminder, only vehicles displaying state issued accessibility license plates or permits may be parked in accessibility (handicapped) spaces.
  • If residents do not have a valid parking permit and need to park on campus, “Visitor” permits are available from a paystation or online through the ParkMobile app. Please remember parking permits are still required in all other areas.

For the safety of our campus community, illegally parked vehicles may be cited and towed at the owner’s expense.  For additional information and shuttle schedules, please visit the Parking & Transportation Services’ website or contact the office at 410-704-PARK.
