STUDENTS: Interested in learning more about Towson University’s history of diversity, student organizing and protest?

Then consider applying to be a SUMMER RESEARCH ASSISTANT. Research assistants will work with and under the mentorship of a team consisting of the Assistant University Librarian for Special Collections and University Archives, the Chair of the Department of History, and the Coordinator of Diversity Training and Initiatives.

This is a part-time, temporary position for approximately 25 hours per week for eight weeks, from early June to early August 2019. Two positions are available: one is open to returning undergraduate students and the other is open to either a returning undergraduate OR graduate student. Undergraduates will be paid $3,500 and graduate students $4,500. There is some flexibility with the specific work schedule but the majority of hours worked will occur during traditional business hours between 9am and 5pm.

Successful candidates will be self-starting, focused, detail-oriented, comfortable working through uncertainty, passionate about understanding diversity at Towson, and will thrive when working independently as well as in group situations. Interested students should complete an online application (https://tinyurl.com/unearthingTUHistory).

For full consideration apply by 9AM on Friday, May 10.
