Faculty & Staff Pay Adjustment

Effective April 1, 2019, a .5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) will be processed for all regular status faculty and staff members, contingent II staff, and lecturers on TU Payroll as of March 31, 2019.  In addition, eligible faculty and staff will receive a taxable $500 lump sum bonus payment; the payment will be pro-rated for faculty and staff who work less than full-time.  The April COLA and lump sum bonus payment are in addition to the 2% COLA received on January 1st, and as announced last year, were dependent on the State of Maryland’s general fund revenues exceeding forecasted levels by at least $75 million.

The lump sum payments will be included in the April 17 paycheck for eligible regular faculty and staff, and in the April 24 paycheck for eligible lecturers and contingent II staff. This payment will appear on paystubs as Misc Adj as a separate line item. For any employees receiving overtime for the pay period ending 4/9, the payment along with any shift pay will appear as Shift Diff on paystubs.

All those eligible can view their current salary in PeopleSoft, the Human Resources database. To view your current salary:

  • Go to the My TU home page
  • Click on PeopleSoft
  • On the Main Menu go to Self Service
  • Select Payroll and Compensation
  • View Compensation History
