University Diversity and Inclusion Awards – Nominations Due April 5th!

The University Diversity and Inclusion Awards recognize individuals and departments that foster greater awareness, understanding and advancement of diversity and inclusiveness at Towson University.  We are excited to receive nominations for five award categories:

Individual Awards (three awards – $500 each)

• • Faculty member
  • Staff member
  • Current graduate level student (master’s/doctoral)

Note: Undergraduate students are recognize at the Student Affairs Awards ceremony.

Department Awards (two awards – $1,000 each)

• Academic department
• Administrative department

All nominations will be evaluated based significance, innovation, and access:

• Demonstration of outstanding accomplishments that have increased awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion.
• Demonstrated outstanding efforts to promote the advancement of diversity and inclusiveness.
• Demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in support of the institutionalization of diversity and  inclusion.

Nomination deadline: Extended to April 5, 2019

University Diversity and Inclusion Awards recipients are recognized during the Annual Service Awards event in May.
