Women represent 50% of middle management, however, the percentage of women at top levels of leadership is less than one-third of that number. Why are so many women ‘stuck’ in the middle? What key skills are needed to get the position you want?
Ron Shapiro, one of the nation’s leading experts on the art of negotiating, will highlight why negotiation is a critical business skill and how it can be learned and developed through the ‘Power of Nice.’ Ron has mentored and advised a number of women in leadership roles across the broad spectrum of business, the professions and the academic and non-profit worlds. Ron will share stories and insights from his decades-long career working alongside powerful women including the likes of Oprah.
Kelly Lockwood Primus of Leading Women, one of the world’s premier consulting firms, will share what’s missing from conventional wisdom about career success for women. Kelly will also present The Missing 33%TM—key messaging often left out of traditional career advice given to women—and how they can use it be a confident, credible leader while advancing their career.
This event isn’t just for women. To effect change, it will take all of us—men and women—working together to be better leaders and mentors. Join us to learn about The Missing 33%TM and the key negotiating skills and knowledge needed for career advancement.
