Economic and Social Development in Ecuador (Faculty-Led Study Abroad)
Study in Cuenca, Ecuador with Dr. Seth Gitter in Summer 2019! Gain an understanding of the key economic issues in Ecuador and proposed solutions. Program participants will explore migration, rural development, education, health care, and international trade in context learning directly from Ecuadorian experts and interacting with locals in Cuenca. Students will earn credit for ECON 380.
Program highlights include visits to the ruins at Ingapirca, the AMARU Biopark Zoo, and a working cacao and banana farm. Students will also get to hike el Cajas National Park and explore La Chocolatera in the costal beach town of Salinas. Did we mention it is the most affordable faculty-led program offered at TU right now?
