Non-Rhetorical Instructor Questioning: When, Why, and How (online session)

Non-Rhetorical Instructor Questioning: When, Why, and How (online session)

Tuesday, October 19, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Online via Zoom

Instructors frequently pose rhetorical questions, but it’s the questions that elicit student responses that tend to be the most interesting and motivating. This interactive session focuses on different goals of instructor questioning; convergent vs. divergent questions; productive ways of responding to student answers; wait time; and the varied contexts for questioning. An in-person offering of this workshop is available on November 1.
