Towson University is offering free parking from May 1 through Aug. 31, 2021 to help simplify the transition back to campus. From May 1 through July 31, permits will not be required to park on TU’s campus. Beginning August 1, parking permits will be required, though the cost of parking during the month of August will be included in fall 2021 permits at no additional charge. Fall permit sales will begin July 26, 2021.
Existing permit holders will be refunded for the May 1 – Aug. 31 portion of their permits. Refunds will be issued in accordance with the charts below. The Parking & Bursar’s Offices expect to begin issuing refunds in late April, and issue all refunds by mid-June.
Student Parking Refunds
Student refunds will be processed as a credit on the student’s Bursar account. To view the credit, log in to Towson Online Services, go to the Student Center, look under the Finances Section, and use the drop-down box to select “Account Activity.” Any outstanding charges on the student’s account will be deducted from the refund before it is issued. All student refunds, if due, will be processed through BankMobile. Students should ensure they are signed up through the Disbursement Online Center (DOC) to receive their refunds as quickly as possible.

Faculty & Staff Parking Refunds
Faculty and staff refunds will be processed as one-time direct deposits. Faculty and staff who do not use direct deposit will be mailed checks to their addresses on file with Human Resources. Individuals who purchased permits through payroll deduction should be aware that deductions were stopped as of April 19, 2021. Their refunds will be adjusted accordingly and will be lower than the amounts shown below.
