Dr. Barry Margulies, Professor of Biology, will join Dr. Ron Hermann, FACET Fellow, to share approaches to assessing students in large enrollment (over 90 students) courses. This session will explore philosophical underpinnings of teaching and assessment that undergird specific practices to minimize academic integrity violations while ensuring students adequately demonstrate understanding of course content. We will discuss the use of alternative approaches to the more traditional model of utilizing 2-3 large scale exams during the semester.

Ron Hermann, FACET Fellow
Barry Margulies, Professor, Biological Sciences
