Blacks in Great Britain: From Liverpool to London – Study Abroad in 2021

Are you ready for the end of social distancing, quarantine, and travel restrictions? So are we. The Study Abroad Office is looking ahead to next academic year.

Blacks in Great Britain: From Liverpool to London, UK is a new faculty led program being offered in Minimester 2021. Led by Dr. Jason Freeman, the program will focus on Black life and culture in the United Kingdom. Participants will learn about what it means to be Black in the UK, trace the history of slavery in Great Britain, and gain an understanding of the little know history of the Black Romans. The program is based in Birmingham, one of the largest and most diverse cities in England. Participants will explore key sites of Black life throughout the country. More information is available at towson.edu/horizons.
