Webex AI Assistant is now available
Students, faculty and staff now have artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features within their Webex accounts. Using the Webex AI Assistant is optional.
Why it matters
The AI features in the Webex platform can help you stay focused, save time and increase collaboration by generating meeting summaries, providing transcripts and bringing you up to speed on what you’ve missed.
What to expect
Webex AI Assistant must be enabled by the meeting host. Attendees will be notified when the AI Assistant or recording features are being used, and they must accept the disclaimer to participate in the meeting. Once accepted, microphones and cameras will need to be manually turned on by the attendee. Opting out/not accepting the disclaimer prevents participants from sharing video, enabling the mic or using chat during the meeting.
If the host hasn’t enabled the Webex AI Assistant or isn’t recording the meeting, there are no changes.
