International Education Week: Today’s Events

TU International is pleased to invite all students, faculty, and staff to participate in International Education Week 2022. This joint initiative from the U.S. Departments of Education and State highlights new and continuing international activities on campus. It starts Monday (Nov. 14) and will continue throughout the week with events, interactive activities, information sessions and more!

Today’s Events:

Level Up Your Interview Skills! Career Advising for International Students
10:00 a.m.
University Union Career Center – Register in advance
Attend this group advising session and learn how to highlight and showcase your strengths in an interview. If you have ever been nervous or anxious about the interview process, then this group session is for you! You will leave feeling prepared to interview with ease!

Creative Confluence: South Asian Community Reflections, Connections, and Dialogue 
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Asian Arts Gallery
Discover the intersecting and distinct experiences of 21 South Asian artists who share their perspectives on lineage, self-identity, ideas of homeland, spiritual traditions, sensory experience, and connections to the natural world.

Study Away for International Students 
12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
Psychology Building, Rm. #407
See more of the USA while you are an international student at TU! Learn about TU Faculty-Led study away and the National Student Exchange programs, which are great opportunities for any TU student to explore other parts of the United States and U.S. territories for academic credit towards their degree during the summer and regular semester. Available programs for 2023 visit California, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Montana, and much more. Join us for an information session about these opportunities and enjoy FREE PIZZA!

Come to a group advising session to learn about studying abroad or away with TU.

Kemetic Yoga Class
4 p.m.
Burdik Hall, BU 280
Kemetic yoga is form of yoga inspired by Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and was then known as “Kemet”. This yoga emphasized breathing patterns, healing of the mind-body-spirit, and meditation. Kemetic yoga is typically practiced slower, so as students hold the postures, allowing the practice to evoke imagery and breathe.

International Fire Pit Friday 
5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Health & Counseling Center lawn
Warm up at Fire Pit Friday. Snacks will be provided. 

International Cafe
6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
University Union, Rm. 322
International Student Association returns International Cafe for the second year! Come enjoy cultural dishes and performances with us!
