The University System of Maryland Women’s Forum commends and celebrates the achievements of students enrolled at a USM institution and currently employed faculty and staff from across the system through award and scholarship programs. All awards and scholarships are open to any individual regardless of race, color, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status or disability.
The Student Scholarship (scholarships are $1000/student recipient) is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
The Professional Staff Development Award (awards range from $250 to $1000) provides funding for staff pursuing professional development. Funding is for training and professional development activities to enhance current job skills, seek career advancement opportunities, and attend non-credit courses and conferences.
The Faculty Research Award (awards up to $1000) provides funding for faculty pursuing research on women’s experiences: social, scientific, economic, political and health conditions that impact women.
