Last Chance for Faculty to Apply for Integrating Data Skills Into Your Course Stipend

Cook Library and FACET are teaming up to offer a paid opportunity for TU faculty to learn how to work with data and then integrate what they learn into one of their courses.

 

Part 1 is attending all three days of this upcoming online workshop series:

Building Your Data Skills

January 25-27, 2022

9a – 2p each day

This online workshop series taught by trained Library Carpentry instructors will introduce working with data, the UNIX Shell, OpenRefine, and Git.

 

Part 2 is developing a course assignment that incorporates one or more of the skills or tools taught in the workshop series. Faculty will have until April 1st to create the assignment and detail how it fits into their course.

Those faculty selected to participate will receive a $300 stipend for completing both Part 1 and Part 2.
