Skype for Business: retirement date moved to summer 2020
The previously announced Skype for Business retirement date was April 1, 2020. That date has been postponed until the summer. A specific date and details will be shared through TU Today and direct emails. You can still use Skype for Business, or start using Webex Teams now.
Webex Teams is an all-in-one solution for messaging, file sharing, white boarding, video meetings, and more. Here are ways to learn more about Webex Teams, how you can use the service, and how to get started:
- Attend a 45-minute Webex Teams demonstration conducted online via Webex. Register for a session.
- Schedule a training session for your department. Contact OTS Training at training@towson.edu to coordinate.
- Visit www.towson.edu/webexteams for an overview and to access self-help training documents.
