Faculty Online Advising Training Session Presented by OTS and Academic Advising
OTS Training and Academic Advising are combining efforts to offer you a custom workshop to help with the transition to online advising. The workshop description is below. This workshop will be offered on the following dates:

Custom Workshop – Webex/SSC Information Session
In this workshop, you will receive a brief overview on how to use Webex (webinar platform) and SSC for advising purposes.
WebEx objectives include:
- Activate your WebEx account
- Log into WebEx
- Use your Personal Meeting Room
- Set up a Webex Meeting using the Meeting Center
- Navigate the WebEx interface
- Share resources
SCS objectives include:
- Log onto SSC
- See and communicate with your advisees
- View transcripts
- Record notes
- Upload documents which you can share with students and other advisors
- Schedule and conduct virtual appointments
This session will be conducted online via a WebEx webinar. This is not a face to face workshop. You can attend this session from your home or office. In order to attend this session, you will need:
- a computer
- an audio connection (either a headset or the speaker in your computer) or you may call in on a telephone.
