Tuition Remission changing as of November

Beginning this November, faculty and staff can submit tuition remission applications online.

The USM’s new online tuition remission system will accept applications for the winter and spring 2020 semesters as of November 4. Active faculty and staff applying for tuition remission at most USM institutions will use the online system for themselves and their dependents. Retirees and those applying for tuition remission at Morgan State University, Baltimore City Community College, or St. Mary’s College of Maryland will continue to submit the current form to HR via secure file drop, or by dropping off at the HR Office.

If you previously submitted a tuition remission form for the winter or spring 2020 semesters, you must resubmit when the online system opens on November 4.

The new system is user-friendly and allows for faster and more secure online processing and tracking of applications. Faculty and staff will sign into the system using their TU Net ID and password. Employees applying for a dependent child/spouse will need that student’s university-issued ID in order to submit an application in the system.

Additional information as well as a link to the system will be available on the Tuition Remission website in the coming week.
