Dr. Walker’s seminal work on “Battered Woman Syndrome” and the “Cycle of Violence” has been used as a successful defense in hundreds of criminal cases.  She has conducted research on various forms of gendered violence including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, sex and human trafficking, false confessions of women, and child abuse.
