Last Call for Commencement Volunteers!

Faculty and staff are invited to join TU’s rich history of service to the graduating class by volunteering to serve at the Spring 2021 Commencement Ceremonies Many volunteers are needed to ensure the ceremonies run smoothly and provide the best possible TU experience for all participants.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend time outside the office with your colleagues from across the campus while making a valuable contribution to the most special day for our graduates and their families.

What’s Different This Year

In order to comply with federal, state and local COVID-19 guidelines, all ceremonies will take place outdoors in Johnny Unitas Stadium at 25% capacity, and masks will be required at all times for all participants.  Other physical distancing and sanitation protocols will be strictly followed to ensure the health and safety of all guests and participants.

Volunteer Role

There are a variety of volunteer roles to choose from, such as greeting guests, distributing programs, and helping with the student line-up.  All volunteer roles are focused on ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests – many of whom may be visiting our campus for the first time. Volunteer roles will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.  If your desired role has already been filled, we hope you will consider serving in another role.

If applicable, please obtain your supervisor’s approval before submitting your request.  Leave time is not required to volunteer for commencement.

Chance to Win Great Prizes!

As a special incentive this year all volunteers who serve at least 1 shift will be entered into a raffle for GREAT PRIZES!  In addition, all volunteers will receive a complimentary commencement “goodie bag” upon check-in.
