Reminder: complete your 2020 Information Security Awareness Refresh Training

The Office of Information Security reminds full-time TU faculty and staff that emails were delivered to TU accounts containing 2020 Information Security Awareness training assignments. This was originally communicated in a TU Today article on October 5, 2020.

What you need to know

  • The email and subsequent reminders are sent from securityawareness@towson.edu to TU accounts.
  • The subject is 2020 Information Security Awareness Training (v.2) assigned to “your name.”
  • Full-time TU faculty and staff are expected to complete the training upon receipt of the email, which should take no longer than 15-20 minutes.
  • SANS.org is the online platform used by the Office of Information Security to present the training.

Why is the training used?
Information Security Awareness Training is designed to inform you of the steps you can take to protect yourself, your family, and the university from malicious or unlawful use of our resources by external sources, like cybercriminals.

Questions?
If you have questions or technical issues such as logging in or completing the activities, please submit a TechHelp service request: Employee Role -> Cyber Security -> Security Awareness.
